Dec. 3, 2011
The first competition of the 2012 Dark Horse Series was a great success!
First Day of Setting: SUCCESS
Plastic, chalk, impact drivers, ratchets, bolts, tape, sweat, blood, dirt, steel, dust, sparks, paint, wood, grip tape. Ah yes, all the essentials to a day at work for the Dark Horse.
Male and Female Pro Finals are up! Tomorrow look out for some photos and video.
Carlo Traversi, Daniel Woods, Vasya Vorotnikov, Rob D'Anastasio, Max Zolotukhin, Natasha Barnes, Francesca Metcalf, Tiffany Hensley, and Sasha DiGiulian are all confirmed at this point. That is one HELL of a sports action line-up.
TWO WEEK COUNT DOWN: It's Coming
The two week eve of the Dark Horse Championship is upon us. And we are going all out on February 5th. Redhook Brewery is sponsoring the event with multiple kegs, Lady Sasquatch is playing during changeover, and there will be a vendor village on the mezzanine featuring local and national companies all day and night.
Natasha Barnes Tells All: Post Comp
Natasha Barnes, a well-known world class climber, flew out from California-- on behalf of FiveTen and Prana-- to compete at the second round of the series. She crushed! And thankfully, she whipped up a Dark Horse Write-Up on her BLOG about the competition. It's always nice to gain feedback from professionals like Natasha. We'll all be looking forward to having her back on February 5.

HD VIDEO RECAP: December 4th, 2010
Within the indoor competitive climbing world, last Saturday night was one to remember. After a long week of setting, the rewarding crowd and electrifying atmosphere were very much welcomed. Vasya Vorotnikov was the only competitor to finish Finals #4, taking a solid first place, while Francesca Metcalf carved out another dominating victory by finishing all but one Finals problem.
This Saturday: ROUND TWO
As the week comes to a close, the long anticipated start of the second round nears. Citizen's Problems: Check. Junior Finals: Check. Youth Finals: Check. Adult Finals: Check. Beer: Check. Now all we need is the competitors to show up and have some fun. I have a feeling this comp is going to be the best setting overall we have had yet. Our team is tighter than ever and our facial hair is coming in quite nicely.
T-Minus: 24 HOURS!
See you all very soon.
